Another update on the domestic Renewable Heat Incentive.  The tariff rates have been announced for the Domestic RHI – which is now expected to be up and running in spring 2014.   The rate for biomass boilers and biomass pellet stoves with back boilers is to be 12.2p per kWh – and payments will be made for 7 years.  We are pleased at this news as this rate is higher than expected.  Homes will have to have a green deal assessment – which will give the estimated energy demand for heat of the building – this will then be used to calculate the annual payments.
